◇ The deal for using Grubbin ◇
Last updated · May 26, 2026
These terms cover your use of Grubbin, a free web app that suggests one nearby place to eat or drink. By using Grubbin you agree to them. Grubbin needs no account, so this is a short, plain-language agreement rather than a contract you sign.
Grubbin helps you decide where to eat or drink by surfacing a single, well-reviewed suggestion (a “Pick”) from places near you, and by letting a group converge on one Pick together in a shared Room. It is a convenience tool, not a booking, ordering, or directions service in its own right.
The places Grubbin shows come from Google’s search results. Grubbin does not own, operate, verify, or endorse any of them. That means:
The map, the “directions” action, and the Handoff links that pass you to a Provider (OpenTable, Resy, DoorDash, or Uber Eats) are conveniences provided as-is. Each Handoff link is a pre-filled search on the Provider’s site, not a guaranteed link to a specific venue’s page; the search may land on the wrong place, multiple places, or none. Once you follow a link, leave a map, or place an order or reservation, you are dealing with that other company under its own terms. Grubbin is not a party to that transaction and is not responsible for it.
Some Handoff links are affiliate links, and Grubbin may earn a commission if you reserve or order through them, at no extra cost to you. This never affects which place Grubbin picks. See the Privacy Policy for the full affiliate disclosure.
Use Grubbin for its intended purpose: finding a place to eat or drink. You agree not to:
Rooms are shared spaces; do not use them to send abusive, unlawful, or infringing content. Grubbin may rate-limit, block, or remove access to keep the service working for everyone.
Grubbin is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Grubbin does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any Pick will meet your needs.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Grubbinand the people who make it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of (or inability to use) Grubbin, including a place that turned out to be closed, unavailable, or not as expected, or anything that happens on a Provider’s site after a Handoff. Grubbin is a free tool, and to the extent any liability is found despite the above, it is limited to the amount you paid to use Grubbin, which is nothing.
These terms may change. When they do, the “last updated” date above will change with them, and continuing to use Grubbin means you accept the revised terms.
This document is a plain-language summary written to be easy to read. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice; it has not been reviewed by an attorney. Questions about Grubbin can be sent to hello@grubbin.app.
